Although we didn’t won any prizes, we are very satisfied. Firstly we wish to say deepest gratitude to our lecturer, Miss Nina Marlini as our Food Innovation Design lecturer with her help and support to ensure our product successfully completed. To those who directly and indirectly helping us thank you. With the help from group members, Raja Sofia Raja Amran, Nurul Syuhaidah Abdul Razak, Sali Salbiah Umar the product finally done. Lastly we all hope that all of you would satisfy with our report for I-food exhibition. Introduction • Cassava Wadeh has it own unique taste. The texture of the Cassava Wadeh will melt in your mouth in instance. It is a healthy source of food for human because cassava is the third largest eatable source of carbohydrates. Objective • The reason why we choose Cassava because it is the third largest source of carbohydrates for human food in the world. It is also very rich in starch and contains significant amounts of calcium (50 mg/100g), phosphorus (40 mg/100g) and vitamin C (25 mg/100g). • It is easy and fast to make plus the cost to make it is cheap. Activity • The first activity that we are doing is we tried to make the cassava wadeh first and try to improve the quality of wadeh, such as add in more ingredients and the texture of Cassava wadeh. Task implementation Before the event • A week before the event, we prepare the new mixture of wadeh with the same ingredients. • We prepared 54 numbers of cassava wadeh for the event. • Then, we wrapped the wadeh and frozen it. During the event • We came early in the Wednesday morning to prepare our produce before the beginning. • We fried the wadeh until its turns to golden. • We cut each of the wadeh into four small pieces and present it in a large plate. We serve it with a Thai chili sauce to get the better taste. After the event • We were busy cleaned the booth and bring all the things to the kitchen back. • After that there was held a talk about Career Entrepreneurship for us in the same place. • Then we all went back to our home. Problem faced • The texture of our product, cassava wadeh was hard. • It is because of the wadeh is suitable to eat just after fried, After fried it is crunchy and soft. But after it is cool, it will become hard to eat. • Not all the people can accept our product, cassava wadeh because it is quite weird among the people. Recommendation • Cassava wadeh are look complicated to make, but it’s much easier if we are interested to tried to make a new product than we didn’t do before. The cost for make this Cassava wadeh is cheaper than other product which sales in market. Conclusion From our observation cassava wadeh will be a Malaysian favourite food, because the taste and the texture. We believe that cassava wadeh is a new product That market didn’t have yet, and it will be popular among Malaysians and international. ![]() judges presentation of food |

On 24th March 2010, we are make a last trial for our product, but for this time we didn't change our ingredients,250gm Cassava 2nos red chili 2nos green chili 1nos celery leaf 2nos egg 10gm turmeric powder 10gm Anchovies 1nos ginger 10gm aniseed 10gm cumin 10gm chicken stock 10gm salt 1pack cooking oil The thing that we have to do didn't change, firstly grated the cassava and then squeeze cassava using the muslin cloth, then put cassava water in a bowl to get the sago After that blend a salted shrimped, anchovies and an egg, after that put the onion, red chilli,celery leaf in a cassava lastly shape the wadeh, and fry in hot pan, serve hot ![]() |

For this week on 3rd March 2010, we are make a same thing which is we make cassava wadeh, but for this week we change from salted shrimped to anchovies and from parsley to celery leaf
250gm Cassava 2nos Onion 2nos red chilli 1nos celery leaf 2nos egg 10gm Turmeric powder 10gm Anchovies 10gm salt cooking oil ![]() The method we are using is same just like last week. Firstly we are going to grated the cassava after that squeezed the cassava using muslin cloth to get the sago, in a meanwhile to wait for sediment the water to become a sago, we are going to blend anchovies with egg and after that put the onion,celery leaf,chillies in the grated cassava, also put the sago and turmeric powder for color and a bit of salt for seasoning ![]() Lastly shape it and fry in a hot pan ![]() Last week our chef, Miss Nina, ask us to freeze a cassava, and this week we are try to fry the cassava which is being chilled in freezer in a week, to see whether the cassava taste will be different or not ![]() *the cassava is tough to chewing |

Cassava Wadeh (1st trial)

Last Week which is on 24th February 2010, we are assigned to make our own food which is we are make it Cassava Wadeh for our food project. Wadeh obviously make from 'kacang dal' but our group are going to make wadeh by using Cassava (ubi kayu).
The ingredients that we are using is : 250gm Cassava 2nos Onion 2nos red chilli 1nos parsley 2nos egg 10gm Turmeric powder 10gm salted shrimped 10gm salt cooking oil ![]() The 1st method that we are going to do is grated the cassava ![]() after that squeezed the cassava using muslin cloth, and then put the cassava water that being squeezed into the small bowl, leave it a while to sediment the water and become sago ![]() For a meanwhile, blend an egg with the salted shrimped, after that put the onion,parsley,chillies and the sago into the grated cassava,put a turmeric powder a bit and salt for seasoning ![]() Lastly shape the cassava dough, and fry in the hot pan, the cassava wadeh is ready to serve ![]() *For this week the cassava wadeh is being chilled in the freezer to tested whether the cassava wadeh will being fry without britle after being chilled Labels: food |

Fruit Leather "10 February 2010"

On 10th February 2010, we are assigned by our chef to make a Fruit Leather. The only ingredient that we are using is :
2 1/2 c Banana 25g Sugar ![]() we have 2 task to be done : a. control- prepare the basic formula, note the time required b. honey, dehydrator- prepare as in 5c, but place in a dehydrator at 140'F (60') note the time required First step that we are going to do is, the banana and sugar and also banana and honey have to be blend in food processor (separately) ![]() After blend, the thing that we are doing is spread the mixing on baking parchment paper, separate the mixing in 2 paper, one for banana and sugar, another one for banana and honey ![]() Last step, bake in oven for about 4hours, the fruit leather is ready to serve. ![]() the report is shown below : ![]() Labels: food |
